Subject: [IML] QUEST: Soft Shadow memory loss
I don't think I've used soft shadows before but I thought I knew how.
I'm using IFD 4.0 BTW. I added an axis in Stage Editor and set it up
with a "Light" attribute (soft shadows, point source, round shape,
controlled y fall off), clicked ok and got back to the normal attribute
requester, clicked ok again and saved it as light1. Everything was fine,
I turned on lightlines and they showed up and I scaled the light to my
preferences. I then went to Project Editor and rendered, but NO soft
shadows. I went back to the Stage Editor and the light lines for the
soft shadows axis had disappeared, all the other light lines were there.
I looked at the axis' attributes and the "Light" box was unchecked. I
fixed it, saved it again, scaled it and went into Action Editor. When I
went back to the Stage Editor the same thing had happened. I've gone
over this a few times but I can't get the axis' light information to
stay.
Could some-one please help me, I'm probably doing something stupidly
wrong but it is a pain.
Thanks,

In the stage editor, try deleting the light object and load light1 from disk
then save changes. If you now change editors and go back to stage,
the proper light object will be used rather than the axis. (That is why
you didnt see any soft shadows or light lines - it was defaulting back to
a stage axis rather than light1 object)
